ON THE PHONE MOST OF THE DAY. I'M GETTING A LIFT TO HELP WITH TRANSFERS, SET UP TRANSPORTATION FOR A MEDICAL APPT., AND TRACKING DOWN OTHER EQUIPMENT. BUSY, BUT HEY, IT'S DONE!
A lift will be a great help although it will be scary the first time you use it. You are so busy and trying to help yourself. Pray that all goes well for you. LOVE YOU LOTS!!!!
What kind of lift, Jen? We use a liko lift for Gregg, I got in it the first time, as we were nervous about how Gregg might feel, and I was nervous too. It was actually so much more comfortable than I thought it would be, It was like a hammock or one of those cloth hammock chairs, and felt very secure. Gregg's brother would even get in the sling and hang there to watch TV. gregg hasn't ever minded using it either, and he was always scared of everything new.
I currently use a wheelchair, and was diagnosed 14 plus years ago. I am now in the secondary progressive stage. I have 2 children, 16 & 12, and have been married for 16 plus years to a wonderful, understanding man.
